SPBC Spring Classic  The Board has decided to suspend our annual SPBC Spring Classic. Much thought and discussion went into this decision. However, due to the explosive population growth in the once rural area of Palmetto where for nearly 30 years we staged our annual fundraiser, and with the primary concern of safety of the participants in mind, the Board felt compelled to hold off planning any future Spring Classics. Please stay tuned to Facebook, club emails, and our SPBC website for further news and information regarding exciting localized rides and events for our club members.

 

Feb 8 - 9, 2020 was the 32nd Annual SPBC Cycling Classic with featured guest, 3 time Olympic Gold Medalist and former pro cyclist,
Kristin Armstrong!

The St. Petersburg Bicycle Club offered a FULL WEEKEND of fun, with events around town, a special event for riders and volunteers only with featured guest Kristin Armstrong and of course, at least FOUR different length rides just south of St. Pete through the mostly rural areas of Manatee County, including some of the most scenic riding in the area. A great time was had by all!

  

 

After the rides, everyone enjoyed a catered LUNCH, along with artisan craft BEER, compliments of the award-winning Pinellas Ale Works, as well as music and other festivities.

The Classic is our main club fundraiser. We were honored to have a great group of sponsors in 2020, including our title sponsor for the fifth year in a row--PSCU
