A few years back, this guy used to ride my wheel. Keep in mind I was riding the 18 group back then. It ceases to amaze me that this newcomer to bicycling has gone on to win road races, the State of Florida and USCF time trials. Not bad for someone who was recently named by "Geezerjock"/"Master Athlete" Magazine the AMS Master Athlete Comeback of the Year Award in 2007. Wendy Menne prepared morning coffee, both regular and decaf! Warren MacKay had his registration team ready and waiting. Steve Gronemeyer directed traffic for parking. Lynn Yetman prepared oranges for the sag stops. Michael David Hayes made the Gatorade after helping unload the truck. Carolyn and David Villimaire setup the sag stop at Peace River substation with plenty of cookies. Lynn Yetman and Linda Attkisson setup the sag stop at Terra Ceia, sans the cookies. Road marking by Pat McNulty, Don Rock, Dick Ruzeicka, and Bruce Creager.
We apologize if any names were missed.

Ron Frers provided much needed and appreciated massages, as experienced by Joan Flaherty and Wendy Menne. Robert Mann and Sue Chaffman were more than willing to help reload the U-haul after riding.

A postride meal of baked chicken, black beans and rice, and a beer was enjoyed by all.

Except for the wind, which made the east-bound portion of the ride quite challenging, the weather was perfect.
That same wind, however, made it a sweet ride back.

No rain! Cool temperatures and plenty of sunshine were in the forecast. Perfect! Sunday morning of April 19th found several club members scurrying about setting up for SPBC’s Annual Spring Classic.

After Patrick McNulty arrived at Tony D’s with the U-Haul, volunteers went into immediate action.
