The 2011 Christmas party was held December 11th at the Lyceum, and it was a resounding success. New for this year, Ken Obannon of the "Lucky Dill" restaurant catered the event, with Eric Enfield and Friends providing the music. Gregory Chewning was the eventual winner of the mountain bike donated to the club by Mark Yeager of St Pete Bike And Fitness, but only after the prize was "re-gifted" twice by the Menne's and the Vosburgh's. Proceeds of the $504 raffle were distributed among three local charities: Bikes for Tykes, CASA and the Free Clinic. Outspokin’ Bicycles, Trailsport, Action Watersports, Revolution, N.E. Cycles, Chainwheel, ABC, Flying Fish, Bicycle Outfitters, Boston Bill Sunglasses and Tripsite (Pack & Pedal) also contributed items to the drawing, making the event memorable for dozens of attendees. The club extends a huge thanks to Brian Wilder of the Mirror Lake Lyceum for the use of his facility and Tripsite.com as a major event sponsor. |
