Casual 16sThe Casual 16s (14-16 mph) start off with a warm-up speed. After one to three miles, the Casual 16s pick up the speed to 14 to 16 mph. You'll need to be able to ride at this speed for 1 1/2 hours or you will be left behind by yourself because there is not a sweep person to ride with you.
Before coming for a ride, go to a bicycle shop and have a bicycle computer attached to your bicycle. Bicycle computers start at $20 and have a speedometer. The speedometer can help you find out if you can 14 mph so that you can keep up. Also, you can use the speedometer to challenge yourself to ride faster so that, in time, you will be able to come ride with the Casual 16s.
