Today there was an 18/20 paceline "class" with about 8 riders. Overall, I felt this was a great turnout; a mix of new members, new riders and veteran riders. We skipped the Coquina Key loop, and no one was dropped.

The experience, I felt, was well received. Whether as a ride guide or rider, I hope others will join for a more relaxed ride while practicing group skills.

One note regarding the RBR Paceline reprinted in our latest newsletter. The author stated "Do not stop pedaling and brake in a way that makes the bike slow abruptly." It was pointed out that it may be necessary to stop pedaling. Use your best judgment. You may want to review your riding technique for the constant pedal, pedal coast syndrome. While pedal/coasting may make it easier for you, it makes it harder & unsafer for the riders behind you, just like a bungee.
